Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Privacy Summary: Pikacord collects only the minimum Discord data required to run gameplay mechanics, save your inventory, and verify server perks. We do not sell user data, track you across the web, or have access to general server chat messages.
1. Data We Collect
Pikacord collects data only when you directly interact with the Bot, add it to a server, or authenticate through our website via Discord OAuth2.
A. Discord & Gameplay Data
- Account Identifiers: Your numerical Discord User ID, username, display name, and avatar hash (used for profile cards and leaderboards).
- Gameplay Progression: Pokémon, levels, IVs, moves, inventory items, currency balances, market listings, trade histories, and active battle states.
- Pokédex Catch History: Each catch record stores the Pokémon’s species and form, shiny status, catch timestamp, and an internal event ID, and is associated with your Discord User ID. It does not store the Discord channel, server (guild), or message where the catch happened.
B. Message Privacy (No Message Content Intent)
Pikacord does not use Discord's privileged MESSAGE_CONTENT intent and cannot read, access, or store general conversation in your server. The Bot only receives message content from Discord's API when you explicitly invoke it via a slash command or by directly mentioning the Bot (@Pikacord <command>). These command inputs are processed in real time to execute gameplay actions and are not logged as chat history.
C. Website & Discord Login
When you sign in to the Pikacord website with Discord, Discord provides your basic account identity so we can authenticate you and show the trainer profile linked to your account.
2. How We Use Your Data
Collected information is processed solely to:
- Maintain persistent inventories, Pokémon stats, and balances across Discord servers.
- Process live player-to-player trades, market transactions, and battle turns.
- Verify eligibility for in-game perks tied to adding Pikacord to your Discord server.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent botting, alt-account farming, and RMT (Real-Money Trading) exploits.
- Diagnose system errors and maintain database stability.
3. Data Retention and Security
All gameplay records are stored in access-controlled database clusters accessible only to core Pikacord developers.
- Active Data: Gameplay data is retained for as long as you actively use Pikacord.
- Inactive Accounts: Profiles with no recorded interactions for more than 18 consecutive months may be pruned or permanently deleted during scheduled database maintenance.
- Server Removal: If Pikacord is kicked or removed from a Discord server, server-specific configuration data (such as spawn channel IDs) is automatically purged within 30 days.
4. Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, license, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or external third parties. Your data is only processed through essential infrastructure providers (such as our cloud hosting and database providers) and Discord’s official API, or when strictly required to comply with applicable law.
5. Data Access and Deletion Requests
You can request a copy of your stored gameplay data or permanently delete your trainer and personal progress through the options below.
Self-Service Deletion (Web Dashboard)
- Sign in to the official Pikacord web dashboard with your Discord account.
- Open Account Service and complete both deletion acknowledgements.
- Review the final confirmation, then enter your exact Discord username to submit the deletion.
Deletion is blocked while you have an active battle, trade, gym, dungeon, or tower activity. Finish that activity in Discord and submit the request again. Once deletion completes, it permanently removes your trainer profile and personal progress, including Pokémon and Pokédex catch history, campaign, gym, dungeon, and tower progress, battle captures, and pending reward escrow. Unclaimed rewards are forfeited. Your trainer, inventory, and currency data are removed in the same database transaction; if deletion fails, it does not partially remove those records. Deletion is irreversible, and the dashboard cannot restore your progress. Use /start in Discord to create a new trainer.
Shared trade, battle, reward, vote, and redemption receipts may remain when needed to preserve other players’ records or prevent rewards from being issued twice. Those records may still contain your Discord User ID and transaction details. Deleting your trainer does not delete your Discord account, Discord messages, or server settings.
Manual Requests & Server Data
If you are unable to access the web dashboard, wish to request a copy of your data, or are a server owner requesting immediate removal of server configuration records, you may open a support ticket in our official Discord Support Server. Manual requests are processed within 30 days of ownership verification.
Important Exception for Banned Accounts: If your account has been suspended for violating our Terms of Service (such as botting or RMT), you may still delete your gameplay inventory. However, we will retain your numerical Discord User ID and ban timestamp in our enforcement blocklist under legitimate security interests to prevent ban evasion.
6. Children’s Privacy
Pikacord is intended strictly for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in bot features, OAuth2 permissions, or Discord Developer policies. Significant updates will be announced in our support server, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
8. Contact Us
For privacy questions, data exports, or manual deletion inquiries, please reach out via our official Discord Support Server.
