Use /bag to check what you own and /shop to see what's for sale. Items cover catching, healing, evolution, held-item effects, and training.

Before buying something for a particular Pokémon, check /pokedex <pokemon> or /item <name>. The item you remember from a console game may work differently here.

Held itemsGive a Pokémon an effect while it holds the item.Leftovers, Life Orb, Choice Band.

Buying from the shop

The shop uses numbered slots. Open /shop, find the listing you want, then use /buy <slot> [quantity].

For example, /buy 2 5 buys five of the item in slot 2. Check the current rotation before repeating a purchase: the item in that slot can change.

Prices and availability are shown in the shop. Some listings also need materials or League Points, so check the full cost.

Using balls in battle

In a wild battle, choose Catch to open the ball selector. It shows your balls, how many you have, and the catch chance for each option.

  • A throw uses one ball and your turn, even if the Pokémon breaks free.
  • Ordinary throws have a 95% maximum chance.
  • A Master Ball guarantees capture of a catchable target. It doesn't improve the target's IVs.
  • Opening or cancelling the selector doesn't use a ball or turn, but the turn timer keeps running.

Catching by guessing the name with /catch doesn't use a ball. See Levels and Catching for the catch formula.

Trading items

Not every item can be traded. Key items and some rewards are restricted; check the item's details before arranging a trade.
