You don't need to learn every rule before playing. Start with /start, catch a few Pokémon, and use these guides when you want to understand a result or plan your next step.
For species information, use /pokedex <pokemon>. For a Pokémon you own, use /info.

Catching and training
Wild Pokémon appear as people chat in enabled channels. You can guess the name with /catch, or use /battle to fight the encounter and throw a ball. These are different ways to catch: a correct chat guess doesn't cost a ball, while a battle throw uses one ball and a turn.
Once you've caught a Pokémon, /info helps you decide how to train it. Two Pokémon of the same species can have different stats because of their level, IVs, EVs, nature, and RV.
Before spending RV
Rebirth Values are a permanent investment in a particular Pokémon. Once allocated, the points stay with that Pokémon through evolution, form changes, and trades. You can't move them to another stat or take them back.
Read Rebirth and RV before confirming an allocation.
Day and night
Time-based evolution checks use UTC, not your local clock:
- Day: 06:00–17:59 UTC.
- Night: 18:00–05:59 UTC.
Use /time to check the current cycle before trying a time-dependent evolution.
Commands
