Wild Pokémon appear as people chat in enabled text channels. There isn't a fixed wait between encounters: each eligible message gets a spawn roll, and the chance rises when a roll misses.
Once an encounter appears, its rarity and species are chosen separately from the roll that triggered the spawn.
When Pokémon appear
A channel starts with a 2.0% spawn chance. Each missed roll raises the chance for the next eligible message. After a spawn, that channel starts again at the base chance.
Each channel tracks this separately. Chatting in one channel doesn't increase the odds in another.
Low-effort or rapid repeated messages may be filtered out. Keep chatting normally rather than filling the channel with attempts to trigger the bot.
One wild Pokémon per channel
A channel holds one active encounter. If another Pokémon spawns before it's caught, the old encounter is replaced.
Server staff can manage where encounters appear through /settings channels. Use /spawnmute mute or /spawnmute unmute to control a channel's spawns.
Rarity tiers
The rarity roll chooses a pool, then the bot picks a Pokémon from that pool.
| Tier | Chance per spawn | Examples and groups |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 77.309% | All Pokémon not listed in a rarer tier. |
| Uncommon | 10.517% | Less common species and many middle evolutions. |
| Rare | 9.975% | Includes starters, Paradox Pokémon, and Ultra Beasts. |
| Pseudo-Legendary | 1.575% | Lines such as Dratini, Larvitar, Bagon, and Beldum. |
| Legendary | 0.499% | Includes Mewtwo, Rayquaza, and Zacian. |
| Mythical | 0.125% | Includes Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Arceus. |
These rates describe the rarity pool, not the chance of a particular species appearing. A Legendary roll still has to pick one Pokémon from the Legendary pool.
Looking for a particular Pokémon
Within a tier, each species has an equal chance of being picked. For the species lists and the odds for each pool, see Rarity Pools.
Use /pokedex <pokemon> when you want to check one Pokémon's rarity, stats, or evolution line.
