Start in a Discord server where Pikacord is available. You can pick a partner, catch Pokémon that appear in chat, and build a team from your collection.
1. Choose your first partner
Run /start. Choose a region, preview its starters, pick one, and confirm. That Pokémon is added to your collection and ready for your first battle.
2. Catch a wild Pokémon
Chat in a channel where Pikacord is active to bring on a wild encounter. When one appears, enter its name with /catch:
The first correct guess catches it, and guessing in chat doesn't use a Poké Ball. Include the form when the encounter is a regional or named variant. For example, identify Alolan Raichu as that form rather than plain Raichu.
3. Check your collection
Use /pokemon to browse what you've caught. To inspect a specific entry, use its collection number with /info:
The number is the Pokémon's position in your collection. It isn't the same as a slot in your battle party. You can search and sort the collection with /pokemon options; see Pokémon Query Filters.
4. Try a wild battle
When a wild Pokémon has spawned in the current channel, run /battle. Choose an action from the battle controls on your turn. You can also catch the opponent during battle with a Poké Ball; a throw uses one ball and your turn.
To add a Pokémon to your party, use its collection number:
This puts collection entry 1 in party slot 2. Use /team view to check your lineup. The starter you chose with /start is already ready to battle.
5. Pick up your daily rewards
Run /daily to claim Pokédollars, League Points, and supplies. The reward grows with a daily streak, with a bonus every seventh day.
Use /shop to see the current rotating stock. Each listing has a slot number; buy from one with /buy <slot> [quantity]. Use /bag to see your items.
